“Taking the form of charcoal drawings, paintings and sculptures, my practice re-imagines a future world as a place whose inhabitants consist only of feral children and where Mother Nature is claiming back her own territory. These tribes seek to build a new order from the vestige of the past.

Nourished by in-depth research and largely influenced by religious anthropology, I explore an hybrid myth focusing on the beginning of collective human history and the future of societies. The idea of threat and the echo of images referring to archaic rituals of tribal populations establish a link with the civilization that I make visible in the pictorial space of my work.

The monochrome palette seeks timeless representation of the narrative. The play of light and dark unveils theatrical and mysterious scenes.

The "Fetish sculptures" or totemic three-dimensional works reference a range of historical, cultural and visual objects, from primitive art with their shamanic and ancestral aspects to contemporary shiny fetishes. Mixing styles from disparate places and periods, the series embodies new symbols of belief.”
